The 70 Year-Old original & authentic handmade Meymeh red Persian rug (351cm x 236 cm). Meymeh rug is one of the rural and urban style carpets that is woven in the Meymeh region located in Isfahan province in central Persia.

This is an improvised and mentally woven rug. It means weavers made it  from memorization without the use of any map. The Meymeh rug has a firm & durable structure also the wool used in ordinary local wool which is very high quality and hand-spun. The Antique Meymeh rugs are unique & rare and also are thinner than Josheqan and as a result the carpet lint is much shorter. The history of carpet weaving in Meymeh is approximately 1922. This geometric region & the motifs are in the form of triangles, rhombuses, squares, which are decorated with bouquets of flowers and shrubs, trees (crazy willow) and have been known for too many years with forest design.
