Sarouk carpet (also know as Sarough carpet) is a type of Iranian handmade rug and famous handicrafts in Iran. Sarouk region has a long history in the production of handmade carpets and is well-known globally, and European and American carpet merchants are familiar with the Sarouk name. Sarouk is a village located 40 kilometers north of Arak. Delicate, well-woven, and colorful carpets made in Sarouk have created a solid reputation for Sarouk village in recent centuries. The women of this village have extraordinary skill in weaving exquisite Iranian rugs. Sarouk is a well-known name among carpet collectors and carpet sellers in Iran and global markets.
Carpet collectors admire Sarouk carpets and buy them at exorbitant prices. One of the bold features in Sarouk carpets, especially in antique products, is the high quality of colors.
